We should never let ourselves destroy our relationship with God. It is something that many of us do without trying. We get too caught up with the ordinary and fail to acknowledge the exceptional. I know that my relationship with God is critical. But, why is it such a struggle at times?
We become so encumbered with the typical of our life that we fail to remind ourselves that acknowledging the exceptional and who God really is makes for extraordinary living.
Placing the Lord first and ourselves second is so simple. We should not allow ourselves to destroy our relationship with God. We must remind ourselves that in the long run what really matters is not what others think or what others say about us. What truly matters is what God thinks and what God says about how we lived.
We have every opportunity to be more mindful of the Lord in our lives and enhance our relationship with Him. It makes the difference in all of life’s aspects. He loves us more than we know and He is constantly with us. “The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.” Zephaniah 3:17
I challenge myself to let Him show me how much He really cares. He really is there for us; always!

I appreciate that we must take ownership of our personal relationship with the Lord! As a pastor’s wife I realize that it’s my responsibility to develop and maintain my relationship with Jesus! I can’t see any other way to survive as a pastor’s wife and as a woman of God. Thank you for sharing your heart – enjoyed it!
