Here to Do!

Oh, but our God is glorious.  I woke up this morning and looked out the window and I soaked in the beauty of the morning skies as the sun began to rise.  What beauty! What grandeur! What joy! What peace!  This is the day that the Lord has made. “The heavens proclaim the glory of god.  The skies display his craftsmanship.” Psalm 19:1

My thought this morning? Aside from the imperfections of our life, the blemishes of sadness, the scars of unhappiness, the fear of the unknown; all that God is and creates is perfect.  It is before us every day.  We just have to “see” it.

I don’t know about you, but, for me, as I read the Word, I am revived and fortified in Spirit.  We are in times of disquiet and turmoil.  We ask and have no answer.  We look and cannot find.  And, it continues that way because we look within ourselves.  We hear the Word and read it.  And, we discover it isn’t enough.

We must act upon the Word.  We need to put the Word into action in our life.  I tell my grandchildren, “just do it, don’t dilly dally, put what you say into action. You’ve been given the instruction, so get moving and get what you need to do, done!”   And, they do.

I need to do the same.  It is one thing to read and study the Word, however, if I don’t do what I’ve read and live by it; it is to no avail.  Listen to the instruction and get it done. “The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul.” Psalm 19:7

Do you want glory in your life?  I do.  Then, read the Word, live the Word, revive yourself in it and do what it says; the doing makes all the difference!
