Yesterday was a day to share, embrace, nurture, and uplift. It was our day of prayer with women in our community who get together twice a month to pray. I so look forward to this treasured time. The warmth and love shared is stimulation to my soul. And, we sense the presence of the Lord and know that he is right there with us. He listens. And, as his word is read and shared; he speaks. It is a powerful time.
We bless the Name of the Lord primarily because his Name is real to those of us who serve him, and believe in him and understand it. This is why his presence is with us. It causes us to look up and be drawn to the truths in his word. His word tells us, “Where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them.” Matthew 18:20
The power of prayer and the power of his Name is a gift to share, be blessed and bless others. It is the living presence of Jesus in the companionship of praying women that gives prayer joined together its power! The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous runs into it and is safe. Proverbs 18:10
