I am sitting and waiting. I watch the sun going down behind the Rocky Mountains. And, in between I see planes landing and taking off into the air. I wait and watch those around me. I wonder what their destination is.
Some read, others “work” their phones, others are chatting away, some eat and some doze. And, then there are those that do what I do; watch, listen and wait. The cacophony surrounding me is quite interesting.
As I wait and watch; I think about travels, destinations and overall journeys we go on. Life is just that; sometimes the destination is clean cut, easy and wonderful. Other times it is difficult, stressful and unclear. But, I have learned and as such have resolved to continue and rely on the compass the Lord provides.
Judges 18:6 tells us…”Go in peace. The journey in which you go is under the eye of the Lord.” Simply, anytime a new “excursion” comes along, seek the Lord’s guidance and will for our life. He always has our best interests in mind. In the scripture above the tribe of Dan was seeking God’s guidance in whether to go forth to claim land as an inheritance. After they sought the Lord they were blessed!
Like the Danites, if we follow the Lord’s leading we will be blessed. It is secure practice to seek His will as we “journey” through our life. I trust the Lord to travel with me as I move along my personal journey. How about you?
