Read the Scripture…

Today I am grateful for having grown in a home where Christian values were taught to me as a child. The Scripture was read and discussed in our home. I appreciate that and know that those readings and discussions are key in my adult life. And, the Scripture still influences my current life. As I reflect I realize its significance and value to me, personally.
By no means am I perfect and my flaws are there; but it is the Scripture that helps me. How? It advises, it guides, it encourages, it loves, it disciplines, it maintains, it nourishes, it keeps me in focus. The Scripture, God’s Word is what makes my life joyful regardless of surrounding circumstances.
The Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy, “I want you to continue to follow what you have learned and are sure about. You know the people you learned it from. You have known the Holy Scriptures ever since you were a little child. They are able to teach you how to be saved by believing in Christ Jesus. God has breathed life into all Scripture. It is useful for teaching us what is true. It is useful for correcting our mistakes. It is useful for making our lives whole again. It is useful for training us to do what is right. By using Scripture, the servant of God can be completely prepared to do every good thing.” 2 Timothy 3:14-17
It has been many years now, that God’s Word impacted my life, such that I dedicated my life to His service. My life completely changed when I yielded it to Him and I have no regrets. Blessed be the Name of the Lord!
