Isn’t it amazing how you suddenly wake up in the middle of the night? Immediately, you’re awake, you sit up, and listen, really listen to what it was you may have heard that woke you up. It was as if someone said, “wake up!” As I sat and listened, my mind began to churn and certain people came to mind.
I strongly felt the nudge in my heart to pray and to pray for these people. I prayed for my brother, I prayed for my daughter, I prayed for my husband and then I prayed for the daughter of a friend that I mentored many years ago. I prayed for my grandchildren, I prayed for my mother, and I even prayed for myself. I prayed prayers of healing. I prayed prayers of gratitude. I sat there and cried out to God in faith.
I even prayed for my dog, who in her elderly years is arthritic but still enjoys the warmth of the sun, and my stroking on her back. After I prayed, I yawned and went back to sleep.
The Psalmist wrote, “I am praying to you because I know you will answer, O God. Bend down and listen as I pray” (Psalm 17:6).
The Apostle Paul wrote, “So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it” (Hebrews 4:16).
I sense an energy in my heart this morning. I spoke with God, and he listened to my cry. God is ever faithful and for that I am thankful.
Know this, if you read my post this morning, I asked God to especially bless you today.
