We Have What We Need!

Matthew 6:33 “Seek the Kingdom of God, above all else, and live righteous, and he will give you everything you need.”
Our job is simple, “Seek His will and ways first.” We need to put God first in everything in our life. Life is hard enough as it is without the Lord. And, many times it is the not accepting those hardships that keep us looking for the moral and ethical shortcuts that are obviously against God’s will. All they do is make the hardship more difficult and we lose out, totally.

We make it difficult for ourselves. No one else does! The initial “reaction” when in a jam is to blame someone else for it! We need to learn (as I heard the other day) to “own it.”

Think about the situations you have been in or are in that have been downright hard! How did you get there? Simply, by decisions you made. As I look back, I realize and see that I cannot blame anyone but myself. I don’t want to keep living with guesses. I want to keep living with assurances. And, to do that I need to let it go and trust the One who has a plan for me. Even when we don’t understand it, that’s when our trust and faith need to “kick in” and do as He directs.

“Seek His will” the scripture says. God want us to pursue His will and trust Him. He doesn’t necessarily tell us all that He plans and most of the time won’t let us know because if He did, we would be so bewildered by it we would just give it up! Do you believe your will is best to the one God has for you?

Who else could you possibly go to for guidance as you walk your life’s journey? Who else would really care that much to pick you up and set you on your feet and give you the nudge to keep going? Who else is always there for you, no matter what happens?

God is! He will always “give us what we need” to keep going on the path and direction He gives us as we seek it! And, that’s a promise!
