He Is Always There!

I’ve discussed this before; life has its good times and its bad times as well. I’ve also mentioned that I personally have changed my attitude with some of the bad times I have gone through. I have never enjoyed or liked the bad or adversity in life and probably never will. However, the Lord has helped me recognize that the adversity He allows me to go through is for my personal good.
Its attitudinal and it’s trusting the Lord to see me through whatever comes my way. I’ve discovered that it is my choice to see it through with His guidance. I believe He is there alongside of me as I travel the adversarial path providing the support I need when I ask for it. God is a gentleman after all and will not interfere nor disrupt nor coerce nor change the path. He provides the wherewithal to get through it and encouragement along the way.

This has been how I’ve learned it and made it through especially during those times I was ready to “throw in the towel.” Solomon wrote in the 7th chapter of .Ecclesiastes, verse 14, “When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider this, God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, no one can discover anything about their future.”

God merges good and bad times in our lives in the way we can’t foretell the future and just count on ourselves to see us through. The logical thing most people do during the good times is give themselves credit for it. But, when the negative confronts us, we do the opposite, we blame God and don’t even consider the good that comes from it. Adversity is a time of opportunity; a time to grow and become enriched with wisdom, knowledge and gratitude to God for being there as we faced its challenges and overcame them!

The Apostle Paul wrote, “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able , but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.” 1st Corinthians 10:13

God is God. He decides and knows what we need. He is there during those times He gives of well-being, success, prosperity as He is during those times of hardship, suffering and overall adversity. It is during these harder times that may seem utterly unbearable and desperate that He wants us to use our faith and trust in Him. It’s a growing time, if we but “look” at it in that vein.

We must not doubt, but believe that God is involved in that which He created. Isaiah wrote in Chapter 45 verse 7 what God indicated, “‘I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster, I, the Lord, do all these things.” God is still on the throne and as believers in the faith, we must trust and know that He is always there with us!
