Solomon observed there is a time for everything as he noted in the third chapter of Ecclesiastes, verses 1-8. One of the concepts in this chapter is that both our actions and their timing are important to God. I’m sure many of you as I have experienced this simple thought.
“Timing is everything!” It certainly makes a significant difference if the timing is off. We’ve all been through this, I’m sure one way or another.
I’ve personally discovered that to have peace of mind and heart with God is to recognize and accept God’s perfect timing. This isn’t an easy thing to do, trust me, I have found that out. But, I’ve gained so much within myself in trusting that God’s timing is perfect. Additionally, I have discovered that I can learn from it, whether I like it or not. And in acceptance the troubling time burden is lifted when I “see” it for what it is; God’s timing working in my life!
Our life is made up of an assortment of seasons. And, as such, God’s plan involves an assortment of experiences and doings. There will be times of weeping as a part of our life, but again life is not all weeping. There will be times of laughter and it has its place in life.
Solomon’s point I believe is that God has a plan for everyone. So cycles of life are provided and each cycle has work for us to do. We must remember that although we may encounter problems and setbacks; we should accept them as opportunities to see that, without God, life’s problems have no stable answers!
We need the Lord in everything in our life. That may sound too general, however the specificity of life’s challenges require God’s guidance, because his timing is perfect! He will help us!
“But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you!” Psalm 5:11
