God answers prayer. He answers our individual prayers and those collectively with others. This alone helps me know that God is real and I’m reminded to appreciate the blessedness of life. The Psalmist wrote, “Come and see what God has done , his awesome deeds for mankind! He has preserved our lives and kept our feet from slipping.”
Today, for an unknown reason I “rewound the tape” of my life and saw the happy and special times and also the blunders of my ways as I have lived it. And, I also saw how with God’s help and total understanding I have managed to grow in Him and learn from those times in my life that I thought I knew what I was doing and really didn’t.
I’m thankful he keeps my feet from slipping! “Come and listen, all you who fear God, and I will tell you what He did for me. For I cried out to Him for help, praising Him as I spoke. If I had not confessed the sin from my heart, the Lord would not have listened. But God did listen! He paid attention to my prayer. Praise God, who did not ignore my prayer or withdraw his unfailing love from me.” Psalm 66:16-20
