Happy Father’s Day!

He has completed the first phase of his job as sentry. He was the night and day watchman and protector. He took his job very seriously. During this phase as sentinel, he was somber and reserved. However, as the transition took place and additional duties; such as providing food for the family and keeping them warm from the colder breezes and giving his companion time for rest; he became less sober and less subdued. Quite the contrary, he became alive and animated. He was now the chief provider for his family. He was proud of his family and they became his focal point. He guided, he taught , he exemplified and he sang. What a satisfied father, beaming with pride and giving his love. Once his young left and were on their own, his job at this phase was completed. All that is left to remind me of this father and his family is the empty nest he built to house them and bring them up in the way they should go…
