The Answer Comes!

I am physically exhausted. I am so weary. But, I feel refreshed! Does that make any sense? I planted three trees today in the morning coolness and I helped my grandson pull out those incorrigible weeds from the rocks in the back. Before I knew it, the morning coolness became the noontime warmth!
The physical workout in the yard is therapeutic. I have the sense of being out in the realm of all that’s nature. The birds; different shapes and sizes. It’s amazing to hear them flutter about and sing to their hearts content. The horses grazing bring a calm to my soul. I certainly needed it this morning

Have you ever woken up with dread in your morning thoughts? I did this morning. And, its frustration came out in the early hour. I decided to go out and work it off. “Lord,” I cried out, “don’t forget me, help me to work through this dread I am feeling. Remove it from my heart.”

It was but a few minutes after that cry that I was suddenly hit by a “splash” of cold muddy water. I turned to look and there he was! Our youngest dog after romping in the fields, jumped into the water hole of one of the trees I planted and thrashed about, cooling himself. He just rested there, drank cool muddy water and the smile on his face was satisfaction at its best.

It’s as if he was telling me, “chill, it’s not all that bad!” And, as I started to chuckle at his antics, I thanked the Lord. The dread was gone!

“Yet, I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living. Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalm 27:13-14

How can I doubt the Lord? I cannot! As simple or awkward that my need may seem, I speak it with the Lord and wait. The answer to what I ask and need will come! It always does!
